Business Valuations
The value of a business is more than a mathematical formula of tangible assets. It may include years of experience, goodwill, and the specific talents of the owner and key personnel.
Our Certified Valuation Analysts (CVAs) are a distinct accredited group who are specifically qualified to provide valuation services. The CVA accreditation is a statement to the business, professional and legal community that an individual has attained a level of knowledge in business valuations that NACVA (National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts) considers exemplary and worthy of recognition. A preemptive requirement to becoming a CVA is that the applicant must also be a registered CPA and is required to successfully complete a rigorous training and testing process.
Our experienced business valuation team is ready to assist business owners with valuation work relating to:
- Accounting for intangibles
- Bankruptcy
- Buy/sell agreements
- Estate and gift taxes
- Gifting programs
- Litigation
- Liquidation or reorganization
- Mergers or acquisitions
- Sale of business
- Shareholder transactions/disputes
- Succession planning
